Usually I am not one to fuss over what some car sold for, but this one makes me curious.
There was a flurry of activity on EBay by a few bidders, then Stacy relisted the car at Buy It Now for $275K.
Less than one day later, the car is listed as "sold".
I am not one to directly ask another owner what they received or paid, but if there is someone who has info about this transaction, I for one am interested.
          Happy holidays to all.
          Regards,
          Jack W.

Quite a discussion on F-Chat regarding this transaction:
Hi everyone.. I wanted to make everyone aware of what happened to me. Last night I won an Ebay Auction for a GTC/4 that was being offered by a Fchat...

            Regards,
            Bill

Interesting uncomplinetary chat on F Chat & I have also had my say there.
I would only say "do not judge a man until you walk two moons in his moccasins"
Maybe something from the American past that the F Chat members might bear in mind?!
Regards & best wishes to Stacy

                Ian,
I must agree with your perspective.
Actually I did watch this auction. I found it interesting that in the last
minutes of the auction, the 200K bidder, who already had High bid, flooded the bidding with more
bids. My wife asked me if this was an effort by the existing high bidder to block other bidders.
hmmmm - I will have write up some code and try that -see if it works.
                A

                Caio,

                Aaron

What ultimately happened with this car? Sold or back up for sale.
                  thanks

Yes I ended up with #16057 after the car was relisted due to a problem with the original ebay auction. My bid was blocked by ebay (even with 100% positive feedback, member since 1999, and over 100 transactions). I am having the car prepped at Rock's Automotive Restoration in Toronto and sending it on to Cavallino. I am in hopes that even with the leather dash it might score a platinum. My understanding is that the interior deduction for the dash might only be 1-2 points and if other little things are done it might do ok. Regards, Greg

Congratulations Greg, you got a very nice car. Good luck at Cavallino!
After you get Platinum take it for a spin around Florida, it will do a world of good for your soul and that of the car!
                        Cheers,
                        Sam

Good for you, they like the exercise! I know from experience.... I have put more than 30k miles on the car since purchase in the fall of 2006 and in 2009 and last year I drove to Elkhart Lake, WI for the FCA National Meet with no problems. I extended the trip last summer an extra 2,000 miles visiting car collections in Indiana and Illinois......185 gallons of gas and 2 quarts of oil in 2,851 miles by the time I got back to Providence! I am eagerly awaiting the rollover of the odometer at 100K miles, which will happen this summer.
