I have about 3kg/cm2 (40psi) at idle (1000rpm) and 5kg/cm2 (72psi) at 3000rpm. I thought I had more from memory. I use mineral oil 20W50. What oil pressure do others have at idle and at 3000rpm?
Went for a great drive today. About 40+ cars. Lots of carby Ferrari, pre-war Bentleys and Bugatti, and by chance an old Lancia group had morning tea at the same place, so maybe 60 old cars were in the car park. Great. A beautiful silver 1960 Lancia 2.8GT by Touring. Never seen one before. Absolutely beautiful car.
Thanks John

Hi John, I had a scare a while back with oil pressure readings as I went way down while driving and almost zero at idle.I hooked up a mechanical gauge for a check and all was well.Ian had said that the sending units are "not a particularly rugged bit of kit" and I think he is quite right . A new unit solved my troubles.Hope that is all it is for you as well. Mike
