He also said that the original units were plated (like what Paulplating) and will need to be "unplated" before it can be replaced. I sent inquires to paulsplating in Pa. They actually plate plastic by coating a layer of copper and some other metal, then they handle it like any plating- their issue was that the bezels are too deep and their process will not work Nos now seems like the best option

Why do you need new? Just because of discoloration/pitting in the plastic plating finish? That can be redone. I don't have any current referrals but I used to use Mr G's on Mustang parts back in the 80s. There are a lot of sources on the web: https://www.google.com/webhp?sourcei...astic++plating

Anyone have some spares - nos? Mine are ok to good- but were an issue with some judges. GT made some from alum that will need chroming, but they are off measurment wise and they are very angular. Dave
