Nos was my first option, I have been investigating the rechoming option at the same time for a while- I'm not willing to turn my units over to some unknown quite yet. Mr g has some very bad press on the Internet Vacuum metalization does not look as shining as chrome -I heard, but not seen yet. A company on the net, MM metalizing ( in so cal) does not take any walk in business- I called them, they said just sent in your parts and we will tell you what we can do- that will not happen. Painting - I haven't seen enough - but general comments were - it's not the same I called squadranuvolari in San Diego, apparently they actually reproduce many lens, to factory spec's including the numbers and dates. He told me they remake bezels in plastic, then sent it to Sacramento plating but they are painted not plated. He wants me to send him one of mine to see what he can do. He also said that the original units were plated (like what Paulplating) and will need to be "unplated" before it can be replaced. I sent inquires to paulsplating in Pa. They actually plate plastic by coating a layer of copper and some other metal, then they handle it like any plating- their issue was that the bezels are too deep and their process will not work Nos now seems like the best option

Why do you need new? Just because of discoloration/pitting in the plastic plating finish? That can be redone. I don't have any current referrals but I used to use Mr G's on Mustang parts back in the 80s. There are a lot of sources on the web: https://www.google.com/webhp?sourcei...astic++plating

Anyone have some spares - nos? Mine are ok to good- but were an issue with some judges. GT made some from alum that will need chroming, but they are off measurment wise and they are very angular. Dave
