Sam, Had a great conversation with Tom. Reminisced a bit, maybe even a little longer. He is in CA currently and the visor we are talking about (not sure if he has the driver or passenger side) is on the east coast. However, if he does still have a complete one, it is just the frame. I Would need to find someone who could heat seal a new plastic cover with padding to complete the visor. Even Tom thought this would be a challenge but there may be no other alternatives. Need to sleep on this one for a while. Thanks again. Ray

I know Tom Shaunhessy had some in his wrecking yard many years ago. You might reach out to him also. I don't know his current contact info.

GT Parts indicated did have some made in the past but are all sold out currently. They have my number to call if they decide to go ahead with an additional run.

Thank you for the tip. Unfortunately, according to Terry Francis, Parts Sales Advisor for Maranello Classic Parts, UK, they actually do not have one available (#253-64-804-00) but what a great source and reference for 365 GTC/4 parts. Terry is reaching out to see if he can find one.

I had an old passenger side visor in my parts bin, which I just checked. It is also missing the plastic clip, just like yours. There is a metal bar that runs around the edge and I suspect the plastic clip is bonded to that piece.
No idea where you will source the piece or a replacement visor. You might try Bill at GT Car parts in Phoenix Arizona. He might have a used one.
Good luck in your search. I was hoping mine was complete so I could send it to you. No such luck.

Thanks for the quick response. I have attached three (3) pictures. One is the driver side visor with the bar that attaches to the clip. The other two (2) are of the passenger side visor with the missing bar that I would like to figure out how to repair.

Show us a picture. There's a wire that goes through the plastic bar..... hard to imagine the whole thing missing.

Wow! Those look great but mine are in fine shape. The issue I have is with the visor itself. The bar that actually fits into the clip on the passenger side visor is missing. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix it? The visor itself is in pretty good shape.

GT Parts in Phoenix Arizona has these in stock. They would need to be painted to match the originals, which are a creme color. I used IHC White tractor paint, which was a very good match. Not cheap at $38 each.
And yes, there is a captured nut on the other side of the fascia cover that holds the 5mm screw in place.

Went over to GT Car Parts here in Phoenix yesterday. They use a 3D printer to make the visor clips. They look near perfect. Bill was very helpful in sourcing door warning lamps, and a few other small items.

    Visor clips - removal, sourcing

Both visor clips are broken at the clip end. Two questions for the community:
    1. Any forum member have an extra set they would sell me? Maranello and Eurospares have replacements, however I would prefer to buy them stateside. I did see some older posts here regarding replacements. Apparently they have not been available for some time.
    2. The machine screw holding the driver's side clip in place cannot be tightened. Is there a captive nut on the back of the headliner trim, or was the threaded screw just threaded into the sheet metal? Any advice on removing the panel in order to see whats behind the clips ?
    Thanks in advance
