    I have never seen this before & wondered if it is a one off or standard on US cars

      Not on my U.S. Never saw that on any around here. My gas flap pull is on the floor along with the boot lock. Mid Atlantic area.

        That is a modification. You can see that it has the normal Baule and Benzina levers on the floor too. Who knows what that latch opens. Interesting.
