I have two different shocks on the rear of my C4. One is the correct - 82-1751.
The other is likely from a Queen Mary - 82-1573. They are almost identical so I can see how the mix up might have happened.
I would like to find a service-able 82-1751, and a home for the 82-1573

Hi Aaron.
I think you are correct about the Queen connection for the 82-1573.
I alse remember somewhere in my memory banks a posting which said they were
pretty much the same as the GTC4 in suspension rating.
I know Chuck King has some GTC4 levelers that need rebuilding.

Dave,
No - I think I may be splitting hairs there. I did go back and check my timing and it looked right. Also, I'm in the process of changing
the caps and rotors. I took the distributors out, cleaned the contacts, put another drop of oil on the "lobe wiper" and I removed the
capacitors which ares not needed for MSD ignition triggering. My rotor was a little warn on the right bank. I should have it back together
this weekend and we will see if it acts differently. I suspect it will run the same. (I was wondering if leaving the cap on the points would
have an effect on the trigger - as I wrote earlier, it came off . )
Although this is off topic for this thread, I found a website - dinoplex.org - which has the schematics for some of the original dinoplex
capacitor discharge units. The circuits are actually quire simple. As long as the little transformer is OK, they "should" be fairly easy to fix.
